Whale Watching In Hermanus

The Southern Right Whale makes its way annually between the months of June and December to our shores. Visit ideal places to watch these magnificent mammals frolic with their young off the coastline of the Cape Peninsula, and in the charming towns of Hermanus, Stanford and Gansbaai.
Towns which are an easy, and beautiful, one and a half hour to 2 hours drive from Cape Town. For the more adventurous, try a spot of shark-cage diving in Gansbaai! A little too much action for you? Well then take a moment out to sample the elegant and prized Pinot Noir in Walker Bay, considered to be the home of Pinot Noir in South Africa. This is a fabulous day out along the East Coast, a day filled with charm, elegance and a touch of the wild of the sea.
